The Story Behind NeuroBuilt

Our founder’s journey began with manual labor in a brickyard – until a chance encounter with a field technician sparked a career pivot that would shape the future of service leadership. After earning his electronics degree, John joined Abbott Laboratories and quickly discovered a truth still frequently overlooked: technical skill alone isn’t enough. Trust and sales come from connection. What truly sets field service apart is the ability to communicate clearly, connect authentically, and lead confidently.

Throughout his career – from repairing biomedical equipment to growing a multimillion-dollar company – he proved that service reps can be more than troubleshooters; they can be revenue drivers and trusted advisors. This foundational belief culminated in the creation of NeuroBuilt Leadership – an innovative approach to coaching that blends neuroscience, Stoic philosophy, and practical habits to elevate field technicians into confident, human-centered leaders.
